Step 1: Design
Before any code is written or any plugins are installed, we focus on the design of your website. After we have taken the time to understand your brand, goals and target audience we begin to design how your website will look. In this step we will typically design the homepage, an article page, and depending on your line of work we would design a product, property, service, etc page. The design step is where your website begins to take shake visually and structurally. Colours, fonts, and other design elements are confirmed at this step of the process.
Step 2: Build
Once the design is approved, our designers pass your website onto our developers and we can move into the build phase. Our developers build your website from scratch, giving your website a truly unique design feel and experience.
In this step, functionality is a big focus. Our developers go deep into how your website will feel and ensure it gives your website visitors a pleasant experience. This will include design features such as scrolling or moving elements and videos, and it will also include checking user flows so that every page on your website is accessible through the correct buttons and links.
Step 3: Site Responsiveness
Once you are happy with how your new website is looking and feeling on a desktop/laptop, our developers will look at your website’s responsiveness to different device screens. You want your website to be at its best across all devices should that be at laptop, tablet, or mobile size to expand your potential customer pool.
Step 4: Go Live Process
When you are happy with the website’s development, we can then begin putting the website live. This step is the most technical as it requires your domain being set up, hosting configuration, and last security check. And if you are transferring from an existing website we need to set up redirects to your new site and no indexes for your old website. In this step we also do final performance check to ensure your website works as intended. Once the website is live we also offer you a free website training on how to operate your website should you want to make changes yourself in the future.
Step 5: Ongoing Website Work (Optional)
To keep your website running at its best long after it has gone live, there are steps you can take.
